Prints of my work available soon

After I shared my big wildlife illustration project last week I got a lot of lovely feedback from you (thanks so much!) and a few inquiries if I do sell prints or original paintings. I’m happy to announce that I do – if there is any interest. I’m currently working on a way to make prints of my work available, and to set up a page of available original work.

As for art prints, I’d like to offer a mix of sketchbook pages, single finished illustrations, and prints that feature collections (see below) and whatever you are possibly interested in – please tell me what subjects you would like to see. Below are a few of my current drafts that I will do more test prints of. Would you like to purchase prints like this? Do people even buy art prints anymore? Please let me know.

To make this about something else than just giving you a (gallery-quality and archival) piece of paper with art on it for your wall, I’m planning to donate a portion of all print sales to an environmental cause. Since that last illustration project was all about very specific protected areas in nature, I plan to give a fixed amount to local environmental initiatives.

If there’s any interest, please let me know and I will keep you posted about the prints.

Possible prints:

A selection of available originals:

Right now, to inquire about an original, please contact me directly via email at mail@juliabausenhardt.com. Most oft my original watercolors only feature one animal or plant and are small (ca. A5, 15x20cm). The price ranges from 90-140€ plus shipping. Each painting is created with lightfast materials on 100% acid free cotton paper, and will be signed and dated. I sell all paintings unframed, and ship them in sturdy flat envelopes with protective packaging. I will set up a dedicated page soon to make this process easier. Most of the paintings from my wildlife project, and also older watercolors are available. So if you want one of my original paintings for your home, let me know.

Thank you for all of your support and wonderful feedback about my work!

Thank you for reading this blog! It'll always stay free. To keep it going, you can support my work directly through a donation or through my nature sketching classes.

    • Dear Marta, at the moment I’m not planning to add to the season-based courses, but I’ve taken a note about your wish for (autumn) skies and hope I can fit it in somewhere. Thank you for the idea!
