This week, the remake of my course on painting clouds is coming out, yay! I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I think it’s a definite upgrade to the last version.
The course has an introduction on how to paint skies, lessons about choosing blues and how to get great mixes for clouds, 10 demonstrations for specific cloudscapes, plus a few more extras like how to use gouache and wax resist for cloud sketches. In case you enrolled in the past, you already have gotten the update for free.
The course covers:
- how to paint simple, but realistic clouds in watercolor
- choosing blue pigments for skies
- how to mix interesting colors for skies and clouds
- composition for skies and cloudscapes
- 10 step by step demonstrations for different types of clouds (good weather, rainy clouds, sunset, sunrise, and many more)
- additional sketching techniques (adding wax resist or white gouache)
Sketching clouds and skies is also a vital part of capturing landscapes, and it’s relaxing and fun. Painting the sky also a great way to get to know our watercolors better.
This course is great for anyone who loves to look at the sky and the clouds and who would like to paint them more effortlessly.
The course is perfect for beginners and intermediate watercolorists, and anyone who wants to include more detailed clouds into their landscape sketches.
I hope you‘ll join me in this course to observe and sketch lots of skies and cloudscapes.
The course is available now:
- directly from Gumroad (pay-what-you-want pricing) or
- through Skillshare (subscription).
The Skillshare version of this course is slightly shorter in length and it features a selection of the lessons and demonstrations – it’s still full of examples and easy to follow video tutorials.
Here’s a preview video for the full course:
This look like a wonderful class…….I can wait to start it…..I am really glad that you are posting classes on skill share.
