I’m Julia Bausenhardt, an illustrator and field sketcher based in Kassel, Germany.
I’m passionate about natural science illustration and nature sketching: I draw and paint birds, wildlife, landscapes, butterflies, fungi, botanical art, and more. I explore the natural world through observing it in my sketchbook.
I share my sketching and painting adventures on my blog and give sketching tips throughout the seasons, as well as video tutorials, tips for watercolor painting, nature journaling and drawing in ink.
