Reasons for ink flow problems can be:
– not preparing the nib
– having too much ink on the nib
– having too little ink on the nib
– wrong consistency of the ink (too thin or too thick)
– big nibs that have a lot of ink on them

Another reason for ink flow problems I didn’t mention in the video is the quality of your paper. If you experience feathering with your paper (that’s the effect where a lot of ink seems to just bleed into the paper and the small fibers show) it’s time to change your paper! Or, if you can’t do that, change your ink to gouache paint.
